REIKI -
A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
“rei” -- the sacred higher intelligence of the universe that permeates all living and nonliving entities
“ki” -- the nonphysical life-force energy that flows through everything.
Thus “reiki” roughly translates to "Universal/Life Force Energy" and as such, we are already always connected to it. We are all born with reiki, as it is the energy that sustains all life. The act of performing reiki is the intentional engagement with ki for the purpose of healing.
Usui Shiki Ryoho (Usui System of Natural Healing) works by receiving rather than doing. It rekindles and elevates the preexisting energy, channeling it from the universal power source down through the practitioner's hands (and in later trainings, through the use of symbols & visualization.)

A LITTLE HISTORY
Founded by Mikao Usui in pre-World War II Japan, reiki as a practice refers to a very specific Japanese-based protocol on how to channel this spiritually guided life force energy to heal physical, mental, & energetic trauma.
It was brought over to the United States and has since evolved into a myriad of different styles and teachings.
I am trained in both the Western & traditional Japanese teachings which both originate from Mikao Usui.
FINDING YOUR TEACHER
When you have decided to begin your training, it is important that you choose a teacher that is right for you. It seems that there are as many teachers as there are grains of sand on a beach. And it truly feels that each is as unique as those grains. I can't stress enough how important it is to resonate & feel comfortable with whomever you choose to study with.
It is not unusual for reiki students to take trainings with the same or perhaps a different teacher. You may take a level one with one teacher and then choose to take level two with another.
If you are interested in training with me, I offer prospective students a discounted treatment to share and discuss my approach and also to cover what you wish to learn from taking the course so you can decide if you wish to continue your training with me.
